We’re a deliberately small crew. Gate repair in Fort Worth isn’t a volume business for us, it’s a diagnostic one, and that takes people who’ve spent years learning what a particular groan or hesitation actually means. Every technician who rolls up to your driveway is background-checked, uniformed, and trained across nine opener brands including LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule. But more than that, they’re the kind of people who will tell you straight when a part still has life in it. Nico Alvarez built the team that way on purpose.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus D. – Lead Technician
Marcus has been fixing gates in Tarrant County for 14 years, and he’s the person we send when a gate problem doesn’t make sense on paper. He’s our LiftMaster and DoorKing specialist, which matters around Fort Worth because those two brands account for most of the swing and slide openers installed in neighborhoods like Arlington Heights, Wedgwood, and Ryan Place. He’s OSHA 30 certified and handles the complicated low-voltage diagnostics that other companies subcontract out. Outside of work, Marcus rebuilds vintage motorcycles and swears the patience required is exactly why he’s good at tracing intermittent wiring faults.
Elena R. – Senior Installer
Elena joined Calder Gate Repair Fort Worth in 2018 after six years in commercial access control installation. She runs our gate opener replacement work and is our go-to for Viking and Ghost Controls systems, two brands with quirks that make thorough installation the difference between a five-year opener and a five-month headache. Elena is certified in low-voltage systems and leads our newer techs through the Relay Standard checklist on every install so nothing gets skipped in the rush to finish. She keeps a running spreadsheet of the best breakfast tacos within ten minutes of every job site in Fort Worth, which the crew treats as essential infrastructure.
Sam W. – Service Coordinator
Sam is the person who answers when you call Calder Gate Repair Fort Worth, and yes, it’s always a person. He’s been with us for five years and knows the schedule, the parts inventory, and which technician’s skill set matches which problem. Sam can tell you whether your LiftMaster issue sounds like a limit switch, the small sensor that tells the gate when to stop, or a capacitor that’s failing in the Fort Worth heat, and he’ll get you a live trackable arrival time rather than a vague window. Before coming to Calder, Sam worked in logistics here in Tarrant County, and he’s the reason our dispatches run on precise timeframes. His dog, a border collie named Socket, makes occasional cameos in our office.
Diego M. – Apprentice Technician
Diego started with us in 2023 after completing an electrical systems program at Tarrant County College. He rides with Marcus on most service calls, learning the diagnostic side first because we’ve never believed anyone should touch a live opener before they understand what’s supposed to happen inside the control board. Diego is already comfortable with Mighty Mule and Linear units, two brands common on the smaller driveway gates you see throughout Ridglea Hills and Meadowbrook. He’s the one taking the before-and-after photos that are part of the Relay Standard on every job. On weekends, Diego helps his parents run their food truck at events around Fort Worth, so he’s also the crew’s on-call lunch advisor.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Calder Gate Repair location is independently owned within the Relay Home Co. family, but the standard isn’t optional. That standard has a name: the Relay Standard. It means a written price before any work starts, always. It means before-and-after photos so you can see exactly what we did even if you stepped inside while we worked. It means a digital invoice you can pay from a link, with the final number matching the number you agreed to at the door. And it means the 365-Day Done Right Promise by name: if the repair fails within 365 days, Calder returns at no charge. The people above are the ones who keep that promise on the ground in Fort Worth, one gate at a time.
